From a loving refresh to full concours restoration — our experts handle every detail, from chassis and coachwork to engine, electricals and interior.
In Motion Classics was built on the belief that a truly great classic car deserves more than a quick fix. We take on restorations of any scale — from a mechanical refresh on a cherished daily driver to a complete bare-metal concours rebuild destined for the show circuit.
Our team covers every discipline in-house: chassis, bodywork, engine, electricals and interior. That means a single point of accountability for your project, consistent standards throughout, and no hand-offs to outside contractors who don't share our standards.
Based in South Africa, we also maintain a live inventory of classic vehicles and an international sourcing network — so whether you're bringing us your own car or looking to acquire something special, we can help.
We work from the ground up — assessing every structural member before touching the cosmetics. Panels are aligned to factory tolerances and every gap is set by hand. Paint is mixed to manufacturer codes or your specified choice.
From a top-end service to a complete strip-and-rebuild, we use period-correct components wherever available. Every engine is balanced, blueprinted and run in on our own test stand before it goes back into the car — so you know it's right before you ever turn a key.
Classic car electrics are often the most neglected — and the most dangerous when done badly. We trace every circuit back to source, replace aged loom sections and document all work fully. Upgrades such as electronic ignition or LED conversions are done sympathetically, preserving the original aesthetic.
We source period-correct leathers, vinyls and carpeting and can match original colour codes from manufacturer records. Dashboards are carefully restored rather than replaced where possible. Chrome and brightwork is sent to specialist restorers and returned to concours standard before fitting.
